Vintage original 7.5 x 9.5 in. US double-weight matte photograph of silent film actor CHARLES CLARY c.1915.

 

Taken during his association with the Triangle Film Company's "Fine Arts," "Reliance" and "Majestic" brands, he is depicted in profile in an interior publicity shot. This photograph was taken by the acclaimed Hollywood photographer, Albert Witzel, and features the photographer's blind stamp near Clary's right shoulder. This example was unused and is in very fine- condition.

 

*"Charles Clary (March 24, 1873 – March 24, 1931) was an American actor of the silent film era. Clary appeared in more than 200 films between 1910 and 1930. He was born in Charleston, Illinois and died on his 58th birthday in Los Angeles, California. He worked for Selig and the Fine Arts Film Company. Before Clary joined Selig, he "played stock companies and road shows all over America".
