This is the laserdisc edition of the epic 1920's silent film western drama/romance, THE COVERED WAGON, released in 1923 by Paramount Pictures and directed by James Cruze.

This laserdisc edition features an outstanding digitally-recorded score by the renowned accompanist, Gaylord Carter.This double-sided laserdisc plays perfectly without any problems. The double-sided disc itself is in very fine condition without any problems and the outer cardboard sleeve is in fine- condition with some creasing on the bottom left corner of the back cover and a remainder punch in the lower right corner. Black-and-white with a run-time of 98 minutes.

Based upon the famous novel by Emerson Hough, two wagon caravans converge at what is now Kansas City, and combine for the westward push to Oregon. On their quest the pilgrims will experience desert heat, mountain snow, hunger, and indian attack. To complicate matters further, a love triangle develops, as pretty Molly (Lois Wilson) must chose between Sam (Alan Hale), a brute, and Will (J. Warren Kerrigan), the dashing captain of the other caravan. Can Will overcome the skeleton in his closet and win Molly's heart? The cast includes Ernest Torrence, Tully Marshall, Ethel Wales, Charles Ogle, and Guy Oliver.
