Vintage original 10 x 15 in. US oversized herald from the classic 1920's WWI-themed silent film drama/romance, WINGS, released in1927 by Paramount Picture and directed by William A. Wellman.

This beautiful oversized herald was printed on a thin newspaper-like stock, most likely in 1928 due to the addition of Gary Cooper's name at the bottom of the front cover (he was not billed on the 1927 publicity material), as the film was in its original release for over a year. The front cover features beautiful artwork of co-stars Clara Bow and Charles "Buddy" Rogers. It opens to reveal a 2-page spread with additional photographic images on the back cover. It is complete in overall fine- condition.

Wings was the first film to receive the "Best Picture" Academy Award and was the only silent film to do so until the more recent silent film, The Artist, won this coveted award.

"Based upon the story by John Monk Saunders, two young men, one rich (Richard Arlen), one middle class (Charles "Buddy" Rogers), who are in love with the same woman (Jobyna Ralston), become fighter pilots in World War I."
