Vintage original 3.5 x 5.5 in. British postcard featuring the silent film actor R. (ROBERT) HENDERSON BLAND c.1914.


The handsome young actor is depicted in an interior studio medium shot wearing a dark suit and tie while posing in front of a dark backdrop. It was printed in Great Britain (UK) by The Biograph Studio located at 107 Regent Street. It was signed in the bottom border in black ink by R. Henderson Bland thusly: Very truly yours- R. Henderson Bland. It is unused in very fine condition with just the faintest sign of wear on the tip of the corners.


*"Robert Henderson Bland (10 March 1876 – 20 August 1941) was an English film actor and poet. He was active in film between 1912 and 1921. He was killed during the Blitz in August 1941.Bland served as a captain in the Gloucestershire Regiment during the First World War and was wounded in April 1918, having been deployed to France in July 1916."
